Stress hypnotherapy treatment

Drinking alcohol is a normal activity for adults to engage in.

We drink to celebrate throughout the year during festive periods, we drink when we’re happy and upset. The issues lie when we become dependent upon alcohol to help us cope and then because of the repeat exposure, we form negative habits which to our detriment, causes us to continue engaging in this negative cycle.
It has been shown that hypnotherapy is a useful treatment in the management of withdrawal from addictive substances (Burrows and Dennerstein 1980).
Depending upon many different factors as to why a person is drinking alcohol excessively, we can help identify the underlying reason and begin to provide coping skills that will help you to replace this habit with something more beneficial. We can help build motivation so that you feel more compelled to really stick to a constructive plan.
We understand you may have been dealing with this issue for a while, so we are empathetic and understanding. Your behaviour does not define you, it’s a learned response and because of this you can unlearn it too.
How our programmes are delivered
A specific plan is tailored to each person by one of our therapists, to help them achieve their goals and to prepare for any issues along the way.
We easily identify any issues by using evidence-based procedures to help assess and build a strategic plan for success. Case formulation (understanding of issues) is a very important part of any successful therapy. “A problem well defined is a problem halved.”
We focus on three main aspects that are required by any therapist:
Bond of trust between therapist and client
Agreement on therapy goals
Agreement on therapy tasks
The initial session will start with an introduction to dispel any concerns or misconceptions you have may about hypnotherapy.
Relevant questions will be asked so we can get a better understanding of what your main issue is, and if there are any other contributing stresses.
If there any obstacles getting in the way of you achieving your goals, we will work together to design a flexible plan to prepare for any setbacks so you can stay on track.
