I was introduced to Linda at SanaMente after I had a mental breakdown earlier this year, after which I was diagnosed with PTSD. Linda was incredibly sympathetic to me and my situation. After a good chat we decided hypnotherapy could really help me, and we decided together that Clare would be the best fit for me as a hypnotherapist. I went into these sessions with very low expectations and a bit of scepticism. I knew the issues I had were very deep rooted from a traumatic childhood. I wasn't sure how beneficial these sessions would really be for me.

For such a long time I was stressed out and anxious and it started to affect every single day of my life. I sought help through my GP but medication and breathing exercises only get you so far when you're really struggling. I knew I wasn't supposed to be this way but I couldn't seem to shake my anxiety so I started to investigate alternative ways to manage it and came across hypnotherapy. I was sceptical at first, but nothing ventured nothing gained.... and I'm so glad I did!  
 
It's hard to put into words but I somehow feel like I've found the real me and after only a few sessions I feel like I can manage my anxiety much more easily which is such a massive deal to me. If you're at that point trying to decide if it's for you or not give it a try because if it helps, then like me you'll be wondering why you didn't try it a lot sooner.

A while ago, I embarked on what turned out to be a monumental 6-month charity challenge that would change me forever – in far more ways than I ever anticipated. Approximately two-thirds of the way through this challenge, with all my injuries mounting up, I was exhausted both physically and mentally and it’s fair to say that all the fun had disappeared from what I had set out to do and whilst I didn’t talk about not enjoying openly, Linda spotted it and reached out. At first, I was reluctant to accept Linda’s help as I didn’t want it to impact SanaMente, but she very quickly gave me a telling me off and said something to me that I think will stick with me forever and that was “just be kind to yourself and let me help”. 
 
I accepted Linda’s offer and it was the best thing I ever did. I was introduced to the amazing Clare who once a week for the next 5 or 6 weeks sat me down and began the process of resetting me – in more ways than one! It turned out to be more than just a charity challenge with Clare. She has helped me in so many different ways that I never knew I could actually be helped and with things I had never talked about to anyone – ever! 
 
Of course, I still have the pain from the challenge but now I have the ability to ‘flick the switch’ and make it all go away! So, I am pleased to say I am now back in the zone and pushing on every day with a huge smile on my face. In the beginning, this was supposed to be all about helping me enjoy the challenge again, but it’s turned out to be so much more - I now have the tricks and the tools to deal with absolutely ANYTHING thrown at me and its all thanks to Linda and her amazing team. 
 
Linda, I cannot believe the difference you guys have made over the last 5 or 6 weeks, I am a totally different person. I genuinely can’t thank you, Clare and the girls enough for the way you have looked after me and welcomed me in, I cannot recommend all you guys do highly enough, thank you so so much. Lastly, If I could give you all any one piece of advice from my experience over the last month or so it’s… Be kind to yourself! I was going through what I can honestly say was the most traumatic and testing time of my life, I had severe anxiety, probably PTSD, and was in a constant state of panic. I knew I needed help to get back to my usual confident and happy state of being but just didn’t know how to do this myself. I decided to try hypnotherapy as a friend of mine had reaped the benefits of the therapy too so I contacted SanaMente and received a call back immediately from Clare. The moment I spoke to her I instantly knew she was the right person with whom I could talk openly, gaining an immediate sense of trust, so I scheduled an appointment to visit the practice for my first session. 
 
Clare is a very warm, open, relaxed person so I was able to discuss my fears and anxiety very freely. After the consultation, I went straight into a hypnotherapy session, the first biggest step of my recovery. It was the best thing I could have done to begin my journey of healing as the results were instant, even after the first session I felt so much better that I was surprised at how quickly I felt calm and my anxiety had hugely reduced. I went back to Clare for a few more sessions plus she provided me with recordings that I could listen to at home. By the 3/4 I felt much better and decided that I didn’t need anymore for the time being. 
 
I can’t recommend Clare enough, she is a very talented professional whose nature and personality will make anyone feel at ease. I feel very lucky to have met her as she helped me to heal and build the strength I needed to get back to being me.
